A Break from Boredom

I’m bored with food. The fruit and veg is tasteless and goes bad fast. Salad is salad. Chicken is chicken. I’m just bored and unmotivated to eat.

Enter, Home Gourmet Butter Chicken. What a great way to take the boring food in the house and turn it into something that tastes wonderful. So very simple to make, and totally crowd pleasing. You don’t even have to go buy special items to make it.

Such a great change in what seems like a boring, stale diet.

I found this little wonder at Community Natural Foods. If you see it somewhere else please let me know – I can see this being something that is always stocked in the cupboard!

I love the Asian Home Gourmet stuff, but I haven’t explored their celiac-friendliness. Good to know the butter chicken is okay. The madras curry is good, as is the Thai red curry. They’re available at most grocery stores (typically cheapest at Superstore).

    Hello!

I Heart Superstore! Thanks for the heads up. I haven’t had the pleasure of trying their other options, but I definitely will start looking and reading labels of their options!

    Cheers,
    Caitlin

    Hey Caitlin,
this has nothing to do with your latest post other than i have to try some of that….

I was looking on a bakery website for work and noticed that they advertise Gluten Free cakes and I know you will be shopping for a wedding cake if you haven’t already found a good place. Ive used this bakery for Gluten items and they are great but not sure about GF.
Here is the link – Amadine Bakery if you want to check them out.

Thanks Karen! I get right next door to Amadine Bakery once or twice a year when shopping for skating ’stuff’ for our grand-daughter – I have seen their signage for Gluten Free products but just wasn’t sure I really wanted to go there – will make sure I stop in on the next trip to north Calgary.
