Annie’s Comfort Food

Sometimes the Universe makes a joke out of your life – punch line unknown. And at times like that you want to reach for the comfort foods of life. For me, one of those comfort foods is Mac’N”Cheese.

Since I am domestically challenged, I want my comfort in a box. And thanks to Annie’s Homegrown Rice Pasta and Cheddar, I can have just that.

Easy to make, and easy to modify – add shredded cheese, or goat cheese or even hot dogs. Nothing about this comfort in a box will disappoint you. They have even gone as far as manufacturing it in a gluten free facility. No cross contamination!

Comfort isn’t cheap, so don’t expect this Mac’N'Cheese to be the same price as Kraft Dinner. But hey, sometimes comfort is worth the extra money!

You can find Annie’s at almost all organic stores, and sometimes even at Superstore and Co-op. Try it and love it and thank me for it later!

Ehm, you know I only tell the good stories….

Many years ago, I had to endure some weird concoctions…

We are off to Vegas over Easter. Anything small (Whole Foods) you miss?

Confession time: Greatest Mac’N'Cheese concoction = Mac’N'Cheese with tuna and pickles. It’s actually kind of epic and it makes one box go a lot further! It’s amazing what university students can do on a budget!

Whole Foods, gambling, shopping, sounds like a great vacation to me! I was in Vancouver a little while ago and bought them out of house and home, so right now I miss nothing because I brought it all home with me! But one thing I might suggest you keep your eyes peeled for is: Black Horse Heart Healthy Sauces. SO GOOD. My personal favorites are the savory and chile. Trust me when I say they won’t disappoint. And if you are at all inclined to BBQ, they make a great base for marinade.

    Happy vacationing!
