Glutastic Post
Okay people, let’s talk breakfast.
Yes, we’re talking about it again. You love it – admit it.
Breakfast is difficult for us. When we go out for breakfast we’re normally limited to the omelette – nothing on the side. This frustrates me. So I started a quest. A quest for the best GF breakfast at home and away, and I found some jems. Here are some highlights:
- Sausage Buddies @ home. So what is a sausage buddy you ask? It’s the greatest little thing that Fiance makes. Take two slices of GF Patisseries sandwich bread, grill some sausage, load the sausage onto a piece of bread, add mozzarella cheese and BBQ sauce, then lightly grill the sandwich. Instant awesomeness if you ask me.
- Bob’s Red Mill Mighty Tasty Hot Cereal. My mom found this little delight in the USA. And trust me people – it is like a warm hug for your stomach. Nothing warms up a cold morning like a bowl of hot cereal sprinkled with raisins and brown sugar. (Bob’s Red Mill products are sold in almost every grocery store. As of yet there has not been any sightings of the hot cereal, so if you see it I BEG YOU to tell me where)

- A Tasty Menu does it again with breakfast. Oh ya people – breakfast. REAL breakfast. We’re talking pancakes, waffles, eggs benedict etc. They even take it one more step and offer a kids breakfast menu. Take the whole family and enjoy mornings like you never have before!
If you come across any jems of your own, please share. Breakfast makes my world go ’round.

Hi Barb.
Where about in BC are you? I am a total Bob’s fanatic. They make some amazing GF products – have you tried the new line of corn products yet? I still have trouble finding them in Calgary, at least constantly, but more and more stores are starting to carry some stuff. Do you have a favourite Bob’s product?

i just came across your site. i’ve been buying the mighty tasty cereal in calgary at planet organic (on elbow drive), and i think i found it at community foods (by chinook centre. The other place i buy a lot of bob’s redmill stuff is at the superstore by costco at heritage dr. and deerfoot tr. (but i don’t remember if i’ve seen this there). Hope that helps.
