Happy Birthday to me, Happy birthday to me, Happy Birthday dear Caitlin, Happy Birthday to me.
So I recently had my 8th birthday. Ya you heard it, my 8th birthday. You see I was born on August 8th. Which for those of you who are a little slower is: 08/08. And this year happened to be 2008…follow me people, that means it was 08/08/08. AND I was turning 26, which is 2+6=8 making it 08/08/08/08. And now for my biggest trick of all – that’s four 8’s, and 8 is divisible by 4.
And now your head explodes.
EPIC birthday. EPIC. Boyfriend even got up early to decorate the house with balloons and streamers and banners. EPIC, people, EPIC.
So the plans were set: Transformer Party Hats, Zip Lining, Drinking, Somersaults, and Cake. Oh wait ya, the cake part. I NEEDED a birthday cake. And I wasn’t about to make my own cake. No that’s just sad. So, where or where, would a birthday cake be found.
Ah ha, LAKEVIEW BAKERY.
They gave me a choice between, white or chocolate cake, with white or chocolate icing. I chose chocolate cake with white icing.
Ya I chose it, I ordered it, I got them to write my name on it, and they judged me. But at least I didn’t have to make my own.
Lesser of two evils.
Anyhow, I wanted to see if they could actually make a gluten free chocolate cake taste like chocolate. And they managed to do it. Even with their judging ways.
I HAD CAKE AND ATE IT TOO! And for this I shall be grateful.
Check out Boyfriend displaying the cake. By the look on his face you’d think he was the one that found the bakery and ordered it! Not so much, but I’ll let him take some of the glory – he did manage to lite the sparkler without lighting the house on fire. So proud of Boyfriend!
