Living Without.

There is this fabulous person I know who lives in the USA. She is like my Gluten Free Santa Clause (GFS) – but much better looking! Whenever possible my GFS brings me packages full of Cocoa Pebbles, Worcestershire Sauce, graham crackers, Living Without Magazine. Basically, GFS brings me packages full of sparkles and sunshine!

One thing I always look forward to is the latest issue of Living Without magazine. It’s advertised as a magazine for people with allergies and food sensitivities. What I like so much about it is that it covers a lot of things involved with living gluten free, and it does it in a very approachable way. No lecturing, no fancy medical terminology that no one cares about nor can pronounce, and the articles are relevant to daily life no matter what your age or life style. I usually shy away from magazines like this because they are normally geared towards the minivan majority and the pages are full of recipes and gluten free craft projects – basically nothing that I care about. (For those of you that are wondering, I was kidding about the craft projects. And I didn’t coin the term minivan majority, I borrowed it)

I highly recommend either picking up a subscription yourself, or befriend an American and have them send it to you. Tell them you would prefer it come wrapped in boxes of Cocoa Pebbles and sealed with Worcestershire Sauce!

Well, since you’re my mom and you think I’m an angel…someone needed to doodle!

Glutastic’s mom can stop reading here.

And for my readers: I dislike Elizabeth Hassleback.

I LOVE this magazine – I bought one issue and immediately subscribed – everyone in our support group is subscribing too – I haven’t had a chance to try any of the recipes yet………….soon!!!
Elizabeth isn’t my favorite either – but she has raised awareness about Celiac disease with the cooking segments etc on the View and that has to count for something good……but yes she can be a little whiny……..:)

Besides the Hasselback connection to my beloved Seahawks, I really have to side with Glutastic’s views on Elizabeth.

(On a side note I have to give the Doodle a 11/10 for artistic merit and intergrity)
