GF LF Swiss cheese – could it get any better than that? No, seriously, could it?

Wow, sometimes my life is sad. I can’t believe how excited I get over these things. Meh, at least I can say that it’s the simple things in life that make me happy! That will work until I’m rich, and then it will be the finer things in life that make me happy. But until then, Saputo is my love!

I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this before, but Costco is actually a really good place for GF gems. You have to take the time to look, and be willing to eat what you buy for a year, but it really is a great place to shop. On our last trip, Fiance ducked out and came back holding this bag of cheese and a smile big enough to match. I thought “giver diesel buddy, the least you can have is a gigantic bag of Swiss Cheese”. So he put it in the cart and we carried on our adventure into the land of excess!

20 minutes later, we’re standing in line really happy that we have enough paper towel for two years and enough toilet paper to supply the entire Canadian Light Infantry, when out of no where I hear a big giant ‘SERIOUSLY’ fly from Fiance’s mouth. I look over thinking that something major has just happened, and there he is holding up the cheese with this look of wonderment on his face. We hadn’t noticed the tiny little sign in the top left hand corner. The tiny little sign that says Lactose Free, which is the equivalent of  ‘You’ve Won a Million Dollars’ to us. Score one for us. This will teach us to rush through grocery shopping – you never know what you might find hidden in the places you don’t think to look.

This is great Swiss Cheese, I recomend it even if you can eat lactose. And if all you take from this little ditty is that Costco has GF, then I will consider this a mission accomplished.

Costco also has some rice crackers that are certified gluten free as well. Yes, Caitlin, you can find some great things – if you take the time to read all the labels

Do you remember the name of the rice crackers? Sometimes I think the shopping trip is more like an easter egg hunt then anything else.

Sorry I don’t but they are with all the other crackers and its a BIG box – I haven’t bought them yet because I am waiting for DH to eat up some of the other stuff we have – I will try and remember to look next time – and I seem to remember they were made in the States – cause we don’t buy anything made in China anymore after all the food scares from there – dog food and baby formula full of melamine…………….

It’s so good on sandwiches and it melts really nicely too! Finally a lactose free cheese worth the money you have to spend on it!
