It’s no secret that the USA has a much better gluten free market than we do. I can spend hours speculating why, but instead, I am going to just do a ‘Show and Tell’ for you here. My parents recently took a trip and came back with this basket of epic goodness. Have I told you that my parents are Rock Stars?!

Here are four of my noted favourites.

1. Tortilla Crumbs by The SoyNut Company.

What I LOVE about these tiny little morsels of greatness, is that they make a great coating for everything. Crunchy coated chicken, crispy casserole topping, binding in a hamburger – it does it all! And it does it well. Yummy yummy.

2. French’s Worcestershire Sauce.

Oh the greatness of ‘woster sauce’ (that’s what we call it because no one can really pronounce it!). We have not been able to find a GF woster sauce in Canada. And after some research, I discovered that the best GF woster sauce is French’s out of the US. First reaction: well isn’t that dandy. Second reaction: How do I get my hands on this.

Mom, to the rescue, she found it. Fiance was close to tears when he saw this little bottle in the basket. Woster really kicks bland food onto another level. Marinades, sauces, BBQ’d anything, just tastes better with woster sauce.

3. Graham Crackers by The Grainless Baker Inc

These are kind of epic. They are moist but crumbly, they are sweet but not sugary, they are just all around great. We’ve used them to make a crumble topping on fruit, I’ve eaten them straight for dessert and I’ve even caught Fiance sneaking one or two when he thinks I’m in the other room! Oh so excellent.

4. Cocoa Pebbles by Post who is actually Kraft.

I first heard about this cereal from The Celiac Husband, he said that it was the best GF cereal. I think he underestimated things, Cocoa Pebbles are the best GF cereal in the whole entire world! My parents brought back two family size boxes for me, and within a week I consumed one in it’s entirety – no sharing of these in this house! If you know anyone going to the US, ask them to bring you a case of these pebbles of greatness.

I love it when people travel and bring me back presents. Who needs a t-shirt when you can have condiments and cereal!
