One of my favourite places to grocery shop is Superstore. When it comes to GF foods, I think they have the best selection. What kicks it over the edge is that they keep it all in the same section. You can go to one isle and get all the GF products you need.

When we were there last, we discovered this little creation: Glutino Cinnamon French Toast.

So, how was it?

On a scale of “1 to Awesome”, I give it a ‘Meh’.

Redeeming Qualities: Great packaging, ease of cooking, great cinnamon smell, nice size.

Not-So-Redeeming Qualities: Kind of chewy, not as full of flavour as the smell would lead you to believe, soaks up all the syrup but doesn’t get any moister with it.

We havent been converted. The best frech toast is made with GF Patisserie sandwich bread and the Double Dunk Technique. That, to me, is pure perfection. Will we buy these again? Most likely. I think they will be great to have in the freezer for the mornings when you just need something warm to eat before work. It will be a matter of convenience more then it will be a matter of goodness.
