Where the Cool Celiac’s Hang Out!

Fiance and I have a thing – we only travel to cities that have a great walkable design, and that host great music festivals. Yes, we’re Urban Studies nerds and we have great taste in music.  You can be jealous of us, it’s okay!

Calgary: Walkable design – yes (where we live, but probably not in the suburb you live in- sorry). Great Music Festival – yes, SLED ISLAND!

That’s right kiddies, it’s time for Sled Island! If you’ve heard about it and/or attended it already – you are awesome. If you’ve never heard about it, nor ever attended it – consider yourself “in the know”. You have no excuse anymore.

Here is all the detail you need:

And here is a review of some MUST SEE bands/events from someone we might know!

Now, if I could only bring my GF beer to the shows, all would be right with the world! Do you think the beer gardens at the Stampede would let me do that? I’m dreaming aren’t I?!

That would be EPIC. Pair that with some GF mini donuts and all celiac’s would flock to the grounds nightly. I’m sure there is a great bakery in cochrane that could show them how ;o)

Fiance and I have a thing – we only travel to cities that have a great walkable design = Let’s move to Europe.

It was brought up to GF Patisserie (not just by me) to make mini Donuts. But the smell, the smell….

Some of the most amazing walkable cities are in Europe, I dream of the day that my car is nothing more than a lawn ornament. Maybe a planter that reminds me of the days when 45min in traffic was totally normal! Hey, if they need a taste tester for those donuts, I am more than willing to offer my services!

Isn’t the whole celiac world after your job?! Just let me know where to submit my resume. If we can break from the festival on saturday and make it to GFP, I might just be submitting that resume in person.
